The problem is that very few people know how to use it efficiently and get your desired results that too free of cost. So let us see how we can do this in 2021.

The Keyword Planner is integral to the Google Adwords platform for advertising. This helps users for specific keywords analyzing and use these keywords while running ad campaigns using Google.

We need a keyword research tool and Google incorporates such a tool that permits us to do this which is known as Google Keyword Planner. This was earlier known as the Google Keyword Tool.

But here we got a problem! As Google has removed the monthly search volume's precise data, now we only get to see an imprecise range of data related to our search. We can get accurate data by using an AdWords campaign for which we got to pay money.

Use the following steps,

A] If we type Google Ads on Google we get the following link, Just click the below link

We get the  Login / Sign in Page

B] Click on the 'Sign in' Link on that page to sign in using the Google account

C] After signing in, it is possible that you may see the following type of page,

D] But we can access the Google keyword research tool without running AdWords campaign by using the following steps.

- Click on the 'Experienced with Google Ads?' link on the same page as seen in the above image.

E] We reach on the following page,

- Here we get a blue colored link at the bottom titled 'Create an account without a campaign',

Click on it.

F] We see a page as below,

   - Choose and verify 'Billing country', 'Time zone', and 'Currency' and click the 'SUBMIT' button.

G] We get to see the following page,

   - This shows the Google Ads  account Created message, now click the 'EXPLORE YOUR ACCOUNT' button

H] We land upon the following page,

- This is the main page of Google Ads where we can check 

1. Clicks: No of clicks on our ad, 
2. Impressions: Each time our ad appears on Google or the Google Network, it's counted as one impression; so this shows the total count of impressions,
3. Avg.CPC: The average amount that has been charged for a click on our ad.  
4. Cost: Total amount we spent to post the Ad.

I] Now click on the 'Tools' link in the upper right corner,

- Now we can easily use this Google Keyword planner without spending any money on Google Adwords Ad. 

Finally, it is always advisable to go for Google Keyword planner first before using different keyword research tools despite the major drawback of not providing accurate search volume of respective keywords by it.
